TAC (Transparency, Accountabililty, Collaboration) The Freedom-Restoring process embodied within our TAC initiative continues to be the main strategic focus of the Institute. Here is an example of how this process is generating better results:
Compile evidence: Using staff, interns and “citizen-journalists” to generate research, FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) requests and data to post at FreedomKentucky.org.
Prioritize: Evaluate the potential impact of issues that surface at FreedomKentucky.org and choose "winnable" policy battles.
Develop compelling case: Conduct and compile research that unequivocally explains the issue.
Apply Pressure: In full collaboration, pressure policy leaders by conducting a press conference, forum, or media campaign to educate and keep the issue on the front line. Document the policy fight at FreedomKentucky.org.
Persevere: Keep the pressure on until we win.
